My Story

We are taking part on the Big Lent Walk! 200km in 40 days throughout Lent.

Please sponsor us as we raise FUNDS to help FIGHT GLOBAL POVERTY through CAFOD.

We started The Walk on Ash Wednesday 22nd February. Our aim is to experience hunger during lent not only from food but other  unnecessary pleasures. We intend to put a monetary value to these 'pleasures' and donate to CAFOD.

Today Thursday we took our grandson on our walk, then hopped on to a bus for his music session then returned again and went for our walk especially thinking of all the people in the world that are suffering bearing in mind the earthquake people as we have very close friends that have lost their home and clinics as they are Eye Specialists.

Today Friday 24th as we walked with our grandson we passed a coffee shop which we have often gone to but today by not spending there we have contributed in a very little way to alleviate hunger. Do we really need that coffee?

SO PLEASE GIVE WHATEVER YOU WANT AND WE WILL BE GRATEFUL.  GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
